Land Acknowledgement
At The Beer Store, we acknowledge that our operations span across the province of Ontario, which is situated on the traditional territories of numerous Indigenous peoples. We recognize the rich history and ongoing presence of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities throughout this land.
We are committed to protecting the land and environment through our environmental leadership efforts. We understand the importance of preserving our natural resources and keeping the rivers and lands clean for generations to come.
We acknowledge that this commitment to environmental stewardship aligns with the principles of Indigenous teachings, which emphasize the responsibility to care for the land and ensure its well-being for the next seven generations. We recognize that Indigenous communities have long held this wisdom and have been the caretakers of these lands for millennia.
We recognize that land acknowledgments are just the beginning of a journey towards reconciliation. We are committed to ongoing education, dialogue, and action in our pursuit of a more equitable and inclusive future for all.
We acknowledge that our head office is located within the Ajentance Treaty 19 and the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We extend our gratitude to the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and all Indigenous communities for their stewardship of the land and for allowing us to conduct our business on their traditional territory.
By acknowledging the traditional territories and recognizing the Indigenous peoples who have cared for this land, we honor their contributions and demonstrate our respect for their ongoing presence. We encourage our customers, employees, and partners to join us in this collective responsibility of preserving the land and creating a sustainable future.
Together, we can build a better tomorrow for the next seven generations and beyond.
Chi-Miigwetch. Thank you.

Employee Resource Groups
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace. ERGs are usually led and participated in by employees who share a characteristic, whether it's gender, ethnicity, religious affiliation, lifestyle, or interest. The groups exist to provide support and help in personal or career development and to create a safe space where employees can bring their authentic selves to work. Allies may also be invited to join the ERG to support and learn from their colleagues.
We’re proud to support four Employee Resource Groups that help bring valuable feedback, ideas, and suggestions to our Senior Management Team. Their ideas help make real and meaningful improvements to our culture, work environment, programs, and policies so that we can all come to work and be our authentic selves.
B Proud Employee Resource Group
The B Proud Employee Resource Group represents diversity and inclusion, not only in the workplace, but in the community. We strive to maintain safe spaces and offer support for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, while driving continued positive change within the organization.
Black, Indigenous, & People of Colour (BIPOC) Employee Resource Group
The mission of the Black, Indigenous, & People of Colour Employee Resource Group (BIPOC ERG) is to share our thoughts and experiences and explore ideas on how to dismantle structural racism in a safe space with people who have similar racial identities and their allies. The BIPOC ERG includes employees from different ethnicities, genders, and positions within the organization to further assist in championing social justice and equality for all. Together, we will work towards a positive change throughout the company and strive to make diversity and inclusion a priority.
Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) Employee Resource Group
The WIN Employee Resource Group is a team empowering the women of The Beer Store to achieve success on their own terms. They aim to provide opportunities for women to connect with and support each other to help identify barriers to equity. They strive to deliver authentic communications, highlighting the specific needs of women and participate in events to provide a positive experience for all.
B Mindful Employee Resource Group
The B Mindful Employee Resource Group focuses on mental health and aims to take away stigma, while fostering a safe, friendly & respectful environment that supports positive well-being. The ERG is open to everyone across the mental health spectrum as well as caregivers and allies.
