The Role

We are currently searching for a Brand and Communications Specialist, reporting to the Manager, Brand and Communications.  This vacancy is a full-time, permanent opportunity.  The Brand and Communications Specialist will support the execution of strategic marketing and communications initiatives that strengthen The Beer Store brand and drive business results. Working closely with internal stakeholders, agency partners, and vendors, this role is responsible for managing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns, promotions, events, sponsorships, and advertising programs from planning through execution. The successful candidate will oversee project timelines and budgets, ensure brand and regulatory compliance, analyze campaign performance, and contribute to the development of impactful customer and stakeholder communications that support organizational goals.

Location

Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of three times per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the Manager, Brand & Communications in the development and execution of the annual marketing calendar, campaigns, and strategic initiatives aligned to business objectives and target audiences
  • Apply marketing strategy, audience insights, and key messaging to develop integrated marketing programs and campaigns that increase brand awareness and engagement
  • Collaborate with creative, media, and agency partners to develop and execute marketing plans, ensuring consistent messaging, branding, creative execution, and delivery against campaign objectives
  • Participate in strategic media planning and investment discussions, providing analytical insights and recommendations to optimize campaign performance
  • Ensure all marketing creative and communications comply with brand standards, ASC/AGCO requirements, and legal approvals through appropriate review and approval processes
  • Lead the organization’s contesting platform, including budget management, prize procurement, asset development, production coordination, and legal compliance
  • Develop and manage project critical paths, budgets, vendors, and timelines to ensure successful execution of campaigns, promotions, and marketing initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance by establishing KPIs, consolidating metrics, producing post-campaign reports, and recommending opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Coordinate The Beer Store’s participation in events, sponsorships, trade shows, and experiential marketing initiatives, managing vendors, assets, budgets, and external partners to ensure successful execution
  • Support the management of the marketing budget, including annual planning, forecasting, purchase orders, invoicing, accruals, SAP tracking, variance reporting, and project budget oversight
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

  • University degree or College diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or comparable designation

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in a Marketing or Business environment

Skills

  • Familiar and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Sharepoint
  • Works independently but feels comfortable working in a team environment
  • Proven track record of producing well executed end-to-end marketing campaigns or general marketing programs on time and within budget
  • Excellent writing, communication, presentation, and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate and liaise with internal and external resources
  • Passion to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to juggle multiple priorities on a daily basis
  • Experience with SAP software an asset

Compensation

Salary range? Yup, we’ve got one: $58,900 - $73,600 CAD per year. But here’s the real deal - if you’re the perfect brew of experience, skills, and personality, we’re open to exploring beyond the range. Tell us what you’re working with, and let’s pour over it together.
