The Role

We are currently searching for a Corporate Communications Lead, reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications.  This is vacancy is a full-time, permanent opportunity.  The Corporate Communications Lead will play an important role in enhancing our company's reputation and image through effective communication strategies and targeted public relations efforts. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans that align with our business objectives and engage our target audience across various platforms. Building strong brands, crafting compelling messages, and managing relationships with key stakeholders is top priority.

Location

Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of three times per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build of internal brand, including leadership brand, and tailor consistent messaging across all audiences aligning messaging to organizational goals and brand positioning
  • Active contributor to communications strategy which could include events, social media, website content, press conferences, or emails
  • Monitoring the brand reputation and discussions relating to the organization in media spaces while being able to respond to audiences on time, analyzing metrics and making recommendations for improvement
  • Manage and execute all Corporate Communications, including calendar, corporate brand style guide, templates, and communication materials
  • Lead the development of corporate communication materials, including internal newsletters, leadership messaging, presentations, and corporate reports
  • Plan and coordinate media events, press conferences, and key announcements to generate public interest and coverage
  • Manage the production of corporate videos, marketing content, and visual communications to effectively engage audiences
  • Work in tandem with Manager, Corporate Communications & Manager, Brand and Communications to create clear and defined messaging around brand, product, individual, or company
  • Development of press releases, bylined articles, white papers
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
     

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English, Journalism, or Marketing

Experience

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a communication focused role. Corporate communications and external PR are considered an asset
  • Experience in managing communications in time sensitive or high-stake situations
  • Proven work experience as a Communications or PR Lead, preferably in a regulated industry

Skills

  • Confident and effective communicator and presenter. Including ability to present concepts verbally, can take a range of viewpoints into account and align stakeholders
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential
  • Strong technical skills to develop and own messaging and presentations across multiple platforms such as PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Outlook, web, etc.
  • Strong creative, analytical, and organization skills
  • Superior project management and time management skills
  • Strong knowledge of social media and new trends in communications
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
  • Strong problem solving skills: able to define the problem and generate appropriate solutions in a timely manner

Compensation

Salary range? Yup, we’ve got one: $65,900 - $82,400 CAD per year. But here’s the real deal - if you’re the perfect brew of experience, skills, and personality, we’re open to exploring beyond the range. Tell us what you’re working with, and let’s pour over it together.
