The Role
We are currently searching for a Procurement Specialist, reporting to the Manager, Procurement. This vacancy is a full-time, permanent opportunity. This role is responsible for end-to-end indirect procurement across company sites, including sourcing (RFI/RFQ/RFP), contract lifecycle management, and vendor negotiations. The role partners with internal stakeholders to drive cost/value, manage supplier performance and risk, and support SAP/P2P processes and master data accuracy.
Location
Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of three times per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle, including maintaining the contract master log (MSAs/NDAs/contracts), monitoring compliance and renewals, and leading vendor negotiations in partnership with stakeholders and Legal
- Provide SAP (P2P) support and change management, including system testing, end-user training, issue resolution with business units, and maintaining supplier master data aligned to negotiated terms
- Own indirect spend category buying for TBS and BDL sites, driving relationship, communication, and project management with internal partners and external suppliers
- Lead end-to-end sourcing events (RFI/RFQ/RFP) in line with Purchasing Policy—market analysis, supplier assessment, bid documentation, bid execution and evaluation, stakeholder alignment, negotiation, award, and contract execution
- Maximize procurement value through cost savings/avoidance and process improvements while proactively identifying and mitigating risk (contracts, H&S, loss prevention, business/SAP procedures) and ensuring ethical procurement practices
- Lead vendor relationship and performance management, including KPIs/service-level tracking, business reviews, issue escalation/resolution, and supplier site visits as needed
- Manage vendor communications and lead commodity contract negotiations to secure best value for spend in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Other related projects and duties as assigned
Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education
- Post-Secondary School Education in Business or Supply Chain or related
- Working towards Certified Supply Chain Management Professional designation (CSCMP) or minimum Level IV standing in the SCMP Professional Development Program
Experience
- 3-5 years experience working within SAP
- 5+ years of experience in procurement across a broad range of commodities and services
Skills
- Strong Contract comprehension, negotiation, and supplier management skills
- High degree of flexibility, judgment, initiative and tact
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, ensuring timely completion of projects while navigating competing demands
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to evaluate product(s) purchased and, in conjunction with suppliers, identify continuous improvement opportunities which will lead to lower total cost of ownership
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be liaison between procurement department customers and suppliers
- Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office and SAP
Compensation
