The Role
We are currently searching for a Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning reporting to the Senior Director, Supply Chain. This vacancy is a full-time, permanent opportunity. The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning is responsible for supporting end-to-end planning processes that connect customer demand, supply capabilities, and business objectives to deliver service excellence and operational efficiency. This role oversees supplier and customer collaboration, demand forecasting, S&OP governance, inventory management, and portfolio optimization. The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic planning capabilities, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring both The Beer Store (TBS) & Brewers Distributor Ltd. (BDL) networks operate with agility, accuracy, and cross-functional alignment.
Location
Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of three times per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead end-to-end S&OP strategy integrating demand, supply, and financial plans to achieve service, inventory, and cost objectives
- Drive cross-functional alignment with Finance, Retail, and Legal to enable optimal inventory principles and integrated decision-making
- Provide executive-level visibility of risks, opportunities, and trade-offs through advanced analytics and scenario planning
- Translate complex data into actionable insights and influence stakeholders to support profitable, customer-focused outcomes
- Strengthen planning governance and performance measures to ensure disciplined execution and informed leadership decisions
- Define and maintain inventory policies balancing service levels, working capital, and operational efficiency
- Optimize inventory health and portfolio mix using advanced planning tools (SAP, Power BI, Excel) to prevent excess and obsolescence
- Lead SKU rationalization and portfolio simplification initiatives to reduce complexity and improve throughput
- Foster collaborative planning with customers and suppliers to improve forecast accuracy, service reliability, and cost efficiency
- Develop and manage performance KPIs for customer service, delivery, and inventory reliability; proactively address gaps
- Build and lead a high-performing team that drives innovation, continuous improvement, and exceeds stakeholder expectations
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- Post-graduate in Supply Chain, Business or related field preferred
- Professional designation (ie. Lean Six Sigma) preferred
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Planning, including demand forecasting, S&OP, and inventory management
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity, focused on guiding, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
- Established ability to align and influence across senior leadership groups both internally and externally
- Demonstrated experience developing and leading S&OP and IBP processes in a complex, multi-site environment
- Experience working closely with suppliers and customers to balance demand and supply requirements
- Proven success implementing planning tools, such as portfolio and inventory policy as well as ongoing governance, analytics, and process automation
Skills
- Strong understanding of supply chain planning, logistics, and inventory management
- Effective leadership excellence combined with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strategic and operational planning expertise
- Strong stakeholder influence and communication skills
- Advanced analytical skills; data-driven decision making
- Proficiency in forecasting and planning tools (SAP, Power BI, Excel, etc.)
- Deep understanding of inventory management principles and service-cost trade-offs
- Strong business acumen with the ability to link operational metrics to financial performance
- Continuous improvement mindset with change management capability
Compensation
The hiring range for this position is $107,000-$133,700 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
