The Role
We are currently searching for a Social Media & Engagement Lead reporting to the Director, Marketing. This is a full-time, 12-month contract opportunity. The Social Media & Engagement Lead will deliver a best-in-class brand and retail experience across our digital platforms. Leading the development of consumer-facing content for our website, social media, and email, while executing marketing campaigns and strategies that drive engagement, sales, and audience growth through an integrated, omnichannel approach.
Location
Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of twice per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function. The incumbent for this role must possess a valid driver’s license with access to transportation for travel to various sites.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead social channel strategy by setting up robust action plans that works cohesively with TBS digital ecosystems and ultimately contributes to the growth of The Beer Store online, retail business, and overall sales
- Identify and develop content that will drive traffic, build engagement, and perform well on TBS channels. This can include, illustration, photography, contests, socially relevant trends, etc.
- Manage and activate social media campaigns
- Organize and manage events for TBS brand awareness
- Gather and monitor social analytics and internal data sources against target KPI’s to identify areas of opportunity and strategic focus
- Community management of social channels. Respond to questions or requests in a responsible manner in-line with the personality and culture of The Beer Store.
- Develop and execute an always-on content calendar to engage beer lovers on upcoming events, occasions, beer education, recipes and pairings
- Manage and activate email marketing compaigns and deploy email Analysis of current email marketing campaigns and performance, and make recommendations for improvement
- Develop lead generation strategy to grow subscriber base
- Track and report on email campaigns and report on sales revenues generated through email marketing campaigns
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education
- University or college degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, Public Relations, eCommerce or related field
- Valid drivers license with access to a vehicle required
Experience
- 7 – 8 year of Social Media & Email Marketing experience, preferably in retail industry
- Proven experience using data and insights to drive social engagement by offering compelling and valuable content to appropriate audiences and customers
Skills
- Familiar and well-versed with CASL (Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation) compliancy
- Basic/Intermediate graphic design skills: work in Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Analytics
- Strong knowledge of social channels and digital trends
- A track record of creative problem solving and proactive, future-focused thinking
- Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail
- Strong project management skills
- Familiar with social listening tools and applications such as Meltwater, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Air Table
