The Role

We are currently searching for a Senior Manager, Distribution Process Optimization, reporting to the Sr. Director, Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement.  This is a full-time, permanent opportunity. In this high-impact role, you’ll provide full leadership and ownership of the Distribution Process Optimization (DPO) program (an operational playbook and framework for continuous improvement) within Supply Chain & Logistics for both The Beer Store and Brewers Distributor Ltd.  As the program leader of DPO, you will design, execute, and sustain a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy that delivers measurable operational efficiencies, cost savings, and service enhancements. This role leads the DPO department, drives cultural transformation across all Supply Chain and Logistics Operations, and ensures the program is fully integrated with business objectives. 

Location

Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of twice per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function.  We also welcome applicants located in Port Coquitlam, BC; Edmonton or Calgary, AB; Regina or Saskatoon, SK; and Winnipeg, MB. 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the execution, enhancement, and national governance of the Distribution Process Optimization (DPO) program across all Supply Chain & Logistics operations
  • Build and lead the DPO function, including team structure, talent development, and program oversight
  • Align DPO initiatives with broader business strategies to ensure operational effectiveness and value delivery
  • Own accountability for DPO program outcomes, sustainability, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement national standards to ensure consistent and disciplined application of the DPO framework
  • Integrate DPO practices and tools into daily operations, leadership routines, and site performance management
  • Oversee the rollout and adoption of standardized continuous improvement tools, KPIs, and operational frameworks
  • Design and implement enterprise-wide training programs to build DPO capabilities across all levels
  • Monitor the execution of the program to ensure changed processes/behavious are adopted and sustained for the long run to foster a continous improvement mindset 
  • Champion a culture of operational excellence by embedding DPO principles into leadership development, recognition systems, and team behaviors
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
     

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification or equivalent is required
  • Certification in Change Management or Organizational Excellence is a strong asset
  • Certification in Project/Program Management (PMP) is a strong asset

Experience

  • 10+ years experience in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence
  • Proven success leading large-scale CI programs across multi-site operations with demonstrated financial and operational impact
  • Experience building, managing, and developing high-performing CI teams along with an ability to lead others by influence to drive consensus
  • Industry experience in brewing, consumer goods, or distribution-intensive environments is an asset

Skills

  • Visionary leadership with a bias for execution and accountability
  • Deep expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping, and operational diagnostics
  • Strong ability to link CI strategy to financial goals and performance metrics
  • Excellent stakeholder management and team-building skills across functional and hierarchical lines
  • Skilled in change leadership and capable of creating a sustained culture of continuous improvement
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
