The Role

We are currently seeking multiple Project Specialists for 6-month contract opportunities. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Project Management Office, this role is responsible for supporting the successful execution and implementation of strategic initiatives across multiple locations, with a strong emphasis on on-site operational support. The Project Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring project plans are delivered effectively, operational readiness is achieved, and frontline teams are set up for sustained success. Frequent travel to project sites is required, where the Specialist will facilitate training, resolve implementation challenges in real time, and serve as a key liaison between the central project team and on-site stakeholders. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solution-driven, and excels in dynamic, fast-paced environments where adaptability, communication, and relationship-building are critical to success.  This position requires open availability, as scheduling may include a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, based on operational needs. 

Location

These roles will be field based requiring frequent travel to our Distribution Centres across Canada.  We are welcoming applicants located in Port Coquitlam, BC; Edmonton or Calgary, AB; Regina or Saskatoon, SK; Winnipeg, MB; or Bolton, ON.    A valid 'G' class driver's liense and access to a vehicle is required.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Execute on-site project rollouts by providing hands-on training, troubleshooting, and go-live support to ensure successful implementation
  • Act as the primary liaison between local teams and central project leadership, ensuring smooth execution and change adoption
  • Conduct readiness assessments, verify installations, and drive compliance with implementation checklists
  • Facilitate timely and effective communication among project teams, operations leaders, and front-line staff
  • Build strong working relationships with warehouse and logistics teams to foster collaboration and gather operational insights
  • Lead small-group training sessions and provide project updates to varied audiences with confidence and clarity
  • Resolve on-site implementation issues in real time and escalate complex problems as needed
  • Identify and share improvement opportunities based on field experience to inform continuous improvement and future projects
  • Support project planning and coordination activities including site preparation, scheduling, and documentation in partnership with PMO and operations teams
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

  • Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related fields
  • Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Experience

  • Proven experience with TBS and/or BDL operations, including knowledge of logistics, key operational processes and distribution environments
  • 2-3 years' experience in operations implementation, or operations support roles
  • Experience with issue resolution, change management and on-site problem solving
  • Experience working with SAP systems in a business or logistics environment

Skills

  • Strong understanding of operational workflows and/or wholesale environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams in fast-paced, operations-based settings
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites as needed
  • Highly motivated, a champion for change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident presenting information to various stakeholder groups, including frontline teams and central project teams
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across project teams
  • High level of comfort learning and adapting to new technology, tools and systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced dynamic environment
