The Role
We are searching for a skilled Project Manager, Real Estate to join our Project Management Office (PMO) within the Strategy & Execution team, reporting to the Director, Strategy & Execution. This is a full-time, 24-month Contract opportunity. The role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of the real estate portfolio including network optimization, sub-lease strategy and store re-development ensuring that they are executed within scope, budget, and time constraints. This role will support the Real Estate team, develop project management frameworks, and provide strategic oversight to support the company’s real estate development and operational goals.
Location
Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer Remote/Hybrid Flex work with visits into the office on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function. Additionally, this role requires up to 20% travel across Ontario.
What You'll Be Doing
- Execution of the Real Estate strategy on time, and on budget
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of real estate projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as operations, legal, HR and finance teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
- Maintain strong communication with external stakeholders, including landlords, regulatory agencies, and local municipalities
- Provide regular project status reports to leadership, ensuring transparency and proactive problem-solving
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimates and financial tracking throughout the project
- Maintain dashboards, and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to the leadership team
- Provide regular financial updates to senior leadership, including forecasts, cost variances, and risk management strategies
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Valid drivers license with access to a vehicle required
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in real estate development or construction
- Previous experience in business analysis, data analytics, strategy consulting, or a similar role, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry
Skills
- Project management skills to be able to lead and execute projects, is well organized and able to independently develop time and budget sensitive plans to achieve stated objectives
- Skilled in risk management and resource allocation across multiple projects
- Strong understanding of real estate processes, including sub-lease details, lease agreements and re-development. Ability to analyze models, budgets and lease agreements related to real estate projects
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across functions and levels of the organization
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Strategic mindset with a keen attention to detail and a passion for driving business results
- Strong communicator with the ability to provide timely updates to various levels of the organization (Front Line to Executive)
- Excellent budgeting and scheduling skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products including SharePoint, and Power BI
- Proficient in use of technology to create, facilitate, and track projects (Microsoft Project, Office TimeLine Pro, Microsoft Planner)
