The Role

We are currently searching for a Supervisor, Operations reporting to the Manager, DC Operations. This is a Full-Time, Contract opportunity for up to 12 months.

Location

Onsite at the Bolton Distribution Centre

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supervise the shift activities within a busy unionized DC environment
  • Training of new and existing employees and performance management
  • Ensure that customer service targets and goals are successfully met
  • Ensure the company’s Health and Safety, Operational and Budgetary efficiencies are met
  • Exemplify the Company’s dedication to customer service
  • Other responsibilities involve Inventory, Fleet and Warehouse Management, Quality Control, SOX and Audit compliance
  • The availability to work all shifts in a 24-hour operation is necesssary to succeed in this role
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned  

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Post-secondary education is considered an asset

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of operations experience
  • Previous experience with SAP is considered an asset
  • Previous experience working in a unionized environment would be a strong asset
  • This role requires that you hold a valid "G" class licence

Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with employees across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership ability to effectively manage the team of direct reports
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with peers, leaders, internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • The ability to make sound decisions in a timely fashion
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, Ministry of Transportation and WSIB regulations would be an asset
