The Role
We are currently searching for an Empty Containers Coordinator reporting to the Supervisor, Operations, Port Coquitlam. This vacancy is a full-time, 18-month contract opportunity. Candidates will primarily work Monday to Friday on the day shift (8:00am - 4:30pm), however, the ability to work other shifts as required is needed to be successful in this role. The Empties Container Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of empties inventory and the efficiency of warehouse operations. This position is responsible for coordinating inventory counts and audits, monitoring daily production and logistics activities, and supporting scheduling and labour administration. The role works closely with operations, logistics, and unionized associates to maintain strong process control, compliance, and performance across multiple facilities.

What You'll Be Doing
- Ensure accuracy of empties inventory and operational efficiency through effective process control, regular counts, audits, and variance investigation
- Coordinate and perform daily, weekly, mid‑month, and monthly inventory counts across multiple locations
- Monitor and review daily productivity and activity for sort lines, crusher operations, shipping, and receiving
- Oversee daily reporting requirements, paperwork completion, KPI dashboard updates, and inventory transactions in the warehouse management system
- Coordinate logistics including depot pick‑ups, receivings, deliveries of empty kegs and glass, and cross‑border aluminum bale shipments
- Prepare and manage unionized workforce schedules, including overtime, vacation planning, attendance monitoring, and sick line coverage in accordance with the Collective Agreement
- Support internal and external audit follow‑ups
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education
- Completed post secondary education in Business administration, Logistics or related field
Experience
- 3-5 years of warehouse inventory experience
- Experience working with SAP required
Skills
- Intermediate computer skills of Microsoft Office Suite products
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and execution
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with peers, leaders, internal and external customers
- Solution oriented with the ability to problem solve

The base hourly rate for this position will range between $22.84/hour and $28.56/hour.
